CESR Rare-Earth magnets

The rare-earth-cobalt permanent magnet quadropoles are the final focusing magnets before the interaction regions. Shown above is one segment of REC magnets, showing the rare-earth permanent magnets. Prior to the rare-earth-cobalt magnets, the beams are focused by solenoidal focusing magnets.
