The following is quoted from a mailing from Boys' Town, received in January, 1996.

You heard right! Father Flanagan's dream is now in eleven states and the District of Columbia caring for 24,000 children this year. So Father Flanagan's dream has spread well beyond Boys Town in Nebraska. But Don't worry: the original Boys Town in Nebraska still takes troubled boys and girls from all over America. It is still the heart and soul of Boys Town.

We care for many, many kids right in their own home communities, coast to coast, with various programs and facilities. We are located in:

Boys' Town locations

In addition to all of the kids we are taking care of around the U. S. and in the famous Nebraska Boys Town, we are also helping:

So Father Flanagan's dream is alive and well and spreading across the continent. That's why our mission is, "To change the way America cares for her children."

Remember that each of our locations across America is part of the original Boys Town, but there are also look-alikes. So, look for the Two Brothers statue on the envelopes and stationery. If you see the "He ain't heavy" two brothers, you know it's the original, genuine Boys Town.

"The work will continue, you see, whether I am there or not, because it is God's work, not mine." -- Said by Father Edward J. Flanagan in 1948, founder of Boys Town.
