Qing He, graduate student at Univerisy of Rochester. My research direction is experimental particle physics. I was born in a small village in Changsha, Hunan Province. As a child, I was very interested in Chinese Traditional Painting and Calligraphy. Well, this is the longest hobby I have ever owned. You can find some of my paintings in my Gallery. In 1999, I began my college study at the Physics dapartment, Zhejiang University. Hangzhou, where Zhejiang University is located, is a beautiful city with rich traditional culture enviroment. There I started to learn Chinese Seal Carving. In 2003, I was lucky enough to get the visa and came to Rochester to start my graduate student life. After thanksgiving of 2003, I got my first digital camera, Olympus C750. A new hobby began. In April of 2005, I can't resist the low price from Dell, I ordered my first digital SLR, Canon 20D, and sold my beloved C750. Well, I am still very interested in all these hobbies, though maybe a little bit lazy in painting or seal carving. But I did paint some time. These hobbies are part of my life, and don't forget the biggest part of my life, Physics! |
