Eötvös-Cornell 2007 Summer Workshop on Particle Theory
This workshop will be held at the Faculty of Sciences of the Eötvös University (ELTE) in Budapest. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss new results and ideas related to particle physics beyond the standard model, including such topics as supersymmetry and supersymmetry breaking, new directions for electroweak symmetry breaking and stabilization of hierarchies, extra dimensions and branes, LHC phenomenology, collider physics and electroweak precision physics.
The number of participants will be limited to 50 in order to facilitate the interaction among the participants. We will try to limit the time of talks every day to 4 hours, so that there be substantial time left for discussions and collaborations.
The workshop will be jointly organized by the Department of Theoretical Physics of the Eötvös University and by the Cornell University Institute of High-Energy Phenomenology.
A related workshop on "Astroparticle Physics: Current Issues" is being held the previous week, June 21-23, at Eötvös University.
