First and second moments (December 23, 2016)
20161223_114753 Matched zero emittance distribution - 1000 turns, 10000 muons at start, 4212 survive 1000 turns, no decay .
The initial distribution is matched to closed ring phase space parameters (including dispersion).
Horizontal and vertical emittance are ~zero. Energy spread fills aperture. Longitudinal distribution is 120ns 'W'
- The file Time_Dep_Moments_at_END.dat holds the moments of
X2the distribution as a function of time, or equivalently the data from a detector
located at a fixed point in the ring (the END -360 deg from injection point)
with perfect position resolution and
1ns temporal resolution.
- Files '<element> _phase_space.dat' hold the phase space coordinates of the entire distribution at the end of the element in the first turn
- EndOfTracking_phase_space.dat holds the phase space coordinates of the entire distribution that survives to the end
- Beam_moments_by_element.dat has the moments of the distribution at each element for each turn
