BBI Effects in 8x3 Compared to 8x5

These two plots compare the positron bunch current dependence
of the electron maximum value of the horizontal beta function in the ring
in 8x3 and 8x5 conditions, 8x5 conditions on the left.
The beam-beam effect at the IP has been omitted
in this calculation. The comparison shows that the beta blowup
in the 8x3 conditions is lower at sqrt(5/3) * 2 mA than at 2 mA in 8x5.
If the parasitic crossings are the primary limitation to total bunch
current, then we may find 8x3 conditions yield higher luminosity
than our past running configuration of 8x5.
