The physics modes investigated test virtually every aspect
of the proposed detector. It is hard to imagine that other processes
will require physics capabilities not
covered in one of the above modes. Our wealth of experience in using CLEO II
for all aspects of ,
, and
physics together with our detailed
simulation of the CLEO III detector give us great confidence that the new
detector is optimally matched to our physics goals.
